Trips
Robanov kot is one of three valleys in Solčavsko (European Destination of Excellence 2011)
, named after the ancient farmer Roban. It is a natural pearl and a textbook example of the
Alpine valleys and green meadows. The ones, who grew up here, are marked forever with the
view of the thorny Ojstrica and saddle Škrbina ending with a long back of Krofička. Enjoy in
that view!
From here, from "Kot", we start our journey and if you like hiking, we invite you to join
us. After about five hours of walking through the challenging mountain trails, a spectacular
view from the top of Ojstrica (2,343 m above sea level) will reward you. “Mala hiša” is an
excellent starting point for ascents of the surrounding mountains.
Those who enjoy walking along the flatter routes can visit the Alpine dairy in Robanov kot.
It takes one hour of pleasant walk to come there, on a mostly wooded path, which somewhere
in the middle expands into a beautiful "lawn". The path through meadows and forests is wide
and you can also visit any of the three higher-lying farms in a sunny slope of "Kot".
You can also ride a bike and see the famous Logar Valley, Matkov kot, panoramic route
starting in Solčava and ending in the Logar Valley. Asphalt road over Pavlič Pass to the
Austrian Eisenkappel also invites ...
If, however, you will travel by car, you will have many opportunities for sightseeing of
natural and cultural attractions and events, culinary delights in the cozy cafes or on tourist
farms.
